This vacuum cleaner is an excellent choice for those who live in apartments as it has a smaller docking system and carries its own rubbish bin. Its application lets you set various modes and monitor the cleaning. The mopping feature is also very impressive.
Its obstacle avoidance and mapping are impressive, as is the fact that it is able to mops extremely well, picking up pet hair, spillages and dirt. It also self-empties and cleans and refills its water tank.
iRobot Roomba Combo
The iRobot Combo adds mopping to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. The iRobotCombo can't replace our Editors' Choice winner, the Deebot X1 Omni. It is more efficient at cleaning, and comes with an app for mobile devices that is simpler to use, but it's a good alternative. It consistently picked up dirt from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance system isn't among the most advanced in the world, as it lacks structured light and other technologies like LiDAR, but it still did a good job of preventing collisions with furniture and clutter.
The Combo comes with many of the same features that the j7 Plus does, including the onboard acoustic sensor that can determine the floor's type and AI-powered Navigation, however it's not able to control suction power using a hand. It's also smaller than its vac-only model, and doesn't come with a self-empty dock.
The Combo is one of my top choices for most homes. Its elegant design is also among the best I've seen in the market. The sleek matte black plastic appears better than the majority of competitors' metallic or glossy finishes, and iRobot's tiny features--like a leather tab that can open the bin onboard and a shelf inside the dock to store extra bags--are classier than a lot of its rivals'. The iRobot Combo makes it easy to create maps and establish Keep-Out Zones.
Roborock
Roborock, a relatively new player in the robotic mop and vacuum industry, has already established itself with an array of cutting-edge cleaning technologies. The brand's vacuums have industry-leading suction, while its mopping systems use vibrating mops that scrub floors of dirt. Additionally, a variety of mapping and scheduling options allow you to fine-tune the cleaning schedule of the bot to your particular home.
Roborock's obstacle avoidance feature allows the robot to detect objects that are smaller than its own height. This is particularly beneficial for Roborock's most well-known models, like the Qrevo Master. It is the best in its class in terms of navigation, due to the combination of vSLAM and LiDAR. Other robovacs have been known to slam into pet waste and slam furniture with no awareness. The Qrevo Master however, addresses this issue with the Reactive Artificial Intelligence system that uses dual cameras to detect the objects within a room.
Roborock robots are equipped with a variety of convenience features to reduce maintenance. These include docks that are auto-emptied and mop-washing stations with multiple functions. These features make it unnecessary to empty the dust bins or wash mops manually, allowing for a truly hands free ownership experience. The app is easy to use due to its easy-to-use layout and its lag-free communication to the robot.
Hobot Legee D8
With a range of cleaning options and advanced mopping features the Hobot Legee is among the top robot vacuums/mops for wet and dry floors. Its advanced navigation system blends five technologies to design and follow the most efficient route. It also recognizes various flooring materials and recognize obstacles with precision. It can even raise its own 7mm to glide over carpets. Smart spray system uses just the right amount of water to aid in stain removal without leaving water marks.
The Legee, a Gen 4 Robot, competes directly against the Eufy Robovac X9 or Ecovacs Deebot T20. Both models cost more. It comes with more features than either of them and has the more flexible D-shaped body that is able to clean the corners and under cabinets better than a round-shaped robot. Its sensors include 360deg 3D (Lidar, Encoder, Gyro E-compass) four forward-facing sensors, one right-side-facing FDS (IR ToF sensors for distance) and two pairs of Cliff detectors, front and back (most robots only have one pair).
